Maelgwn Male Voice Choir

Wales wouldn’t be Wales without its choirs and we’re delighted, this year, to welcome one of the best: the Maelgwyn Male Voice choir.

Taking their name from King Maelgwn Gwynedd who lived in Deganwy Castle, which overlooked Conwy, it is one of Wales’s largest male voice choirs and was formed 45 years ago.

The Maelgwyn has held in the region of 1,500 concerts and has toured extensively worldwide to include Canada, the USA, Ireland, Israel, France, Slovenia, Holland and Germany.

Along the way, the choir has raised thousands of pounds for local charities.
