Castle Works

It’s 30 years since Conwy Castle was awarded its world heritage status and more than 700 years since it was built…

Craftsmen who use those same building skills today will be working in the shadow of Conwy Castle over the Feast weekend.

You can learn how their 14th century counterparts constructed this jewel in Edward 1’s  defensive crown, and how those same techniques are used today.

Visit Castle Works over the Feast weekend and discover:

• Stonemasonry
• Lime plastering
• Slate roofing
• Mosaic work
• Leadwork
• Frame baskets
• Metalwork

Entry to Castle Works is free with a Feast wristband or ticket for Conwy Castle. Conwy Castle tickets are half price with a Feast wristband. Supported by Cadw.
