Blinc-ing fabulous!

23/10/2011 12:33:37

We're all buzzing in Feast HQ after last night's  blinc  show on Conwy Castle.

After all the excitement of the 3D animation, spectacular visual effects and sound there's a chilled out feel to today's Feast.

The sun is shining and there's still lots to do including 160 food stalls, our farming for food marquee, cookery demonstrations, bands and, of course, the blinc digital festival still going on around the town

Book now for 30 Mile Cafe

23/09/2011 17:28:17

Bookings are now being taken for our 30 Mile Menu Cafe with three delicious courses of local ingredients for just  £20 .

Toby Watson has again taken on the challenge of creating a menu of the best food produced within a 30 mile radius of Conwy.

It's a tough task, he says, because there is so much to choose from!

"The 30 mile 'rule' is still the same but we will be using some new suppliers and will serve the menu on both days this year," says Toby who is executive chef of Outside Catering, Deganwy.

The cafe will be enviably sited, right on the quayside with a view of the estuary, and will stay open into the Saturday evening.

At: www.outsidefood.co.uk  you will find the full menu and list of suppliers. Book via the link below...

Time Out

15/09/2011 15:05:54

St Mary's Church, right in the centre of Conwy, is a quiet oasis promising a warm welcome to Feast-goers this year.

This is a peaceful, dry place to enjoy a picnic of the goodies you've bought from our food stalls.

The church will be open from 11am to 4pm on Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday and is offering free  tea, coffee and squash to visitors, with relaxing music in the background

Picnic-ers are welcome in the church or in the churchyard  - weather permitting.

Visitors will also be made welcome to join St Mary's  family service on Sunday at 11am.

Feast Launch Party

31/07/2010 16:25:53

The Feast's unmissable launch party kicks off the event in style ever year - and this one will be no exception.

Tickets are still available online. Your £10 ticket includes True Taste award-winning canapes, and a glass of bubbly courtesy of The co-operative membership, or a beer from Great Orme Brewery.

You can also get into the festival spirit with a taste of blinc - Wales’ first digital arts festival, and be entertained by performance artist Bedwyr Williams, and The Dr Jay Trio. Finish off with a dance to DJs Hippy Ad and Señor Tim.

It promises to be another unforgettable night.

Struggling to identify the fruit trees in your garden?

Ian Sturrock, a regular Feast favourite and renowned tree expert, can help.

He’s the man who single-handedly saved the seriously rare Bardsey Apple tree from extinction - turning it into a garden favourite.

So, if you're uncertain about that apple tree in your garden, bring along a leaf or, better still, a sample of the fruit, and Ian will do his best to solve your mystery

You will find Ian in the Trees and Bees marquee on the quayside during the festival...
